WORK EXPERIENCE

Spectrum Business/Charter Communications – Stamford, CT     May 2022 – Present

Copywriter

Creating content that helps open doors for a technology partnership with business clients of all sizes is the focus of my duties. Much of this centers on case studies spotlighting success by public and private enterprises achieved with assistance from Spectrum Business. In 2023 and 2024, the number of published case studies more than doubled over the prior five years.

In September 2024, a case study I helped create on Texas State Aquarium won the 2024 Leading Lights Award for Outstanding Use Case in the category of Customer Experience. Another case study I worked on, on a Ford dealership in Kentucky, was a finalist for another prize the same year, for Outstanding Use Case in the category of Driving Digital Innovation.

Blog Post - How to build a winning telehealth strategy [Published November 2025]

How to build a winning telehealth strategy

Offering telehealth services is no longer seen merely as an innovative idea by the patients who use them. Today, it is increasingly what patients expect.

Healthcare practices today are judged less by whether they provide remote care, and more by the specific nature of their off-premises consultations.

How satisfied are patients with their telemedicine consultations? How much time and money can be saved by patients and practitioners using remote services instead of in-person visits? How comprehensive are the online exams? How secure are the networks being used?

Blog Post - How independent hotels are preparing for the future [Published November 2025]

How independent hotels are preparing for the future

Led by technologies such as AI and robotics, as well as the ubiquitous need for responsive, high-speed connectivity, the hospitality industry is experiencing radical change. This is seen in both the ways they serve guests and how they satisfy their expectations. In all this, independent hotels are well positioned to take the lead.

When it comes to innovation, independent hoteliers often lead the way. An immediate understanding of the needs and wants of their specific clientele is a critical component for their survival. So is the ability to adapt to change.

Today’s typical traveler is evolving quickly, becoming younger and more tech-savvy. They travel for business, but also with an eye to enjoying themselves while on their journey, an exciting hybrid known as “bleisure travel.” They expect an experience that will cater to their expectations, surprising and delighting them all the while.

Blog Post - How SD-WAN improves student experiences [Published October 2025]

How SD-WAN improves student experiences in higher education

Universities and colleges are well versed in the use of software-defined wide-area networks, or SD-WAN. While other organizations struggle with increasingly outmoded MPLS or legacy services, utilization of SD-WAN in higher education has been the norm for years.

For IT leaders at academic organizations, the need for secure site-to-site virtual private networking has long been clear. They value its design flexibility and near-instant scalability. SD-WAN also helps them address critical technology staffing challenges.

Yet the advantages of SD-WAN go further still. Geographically distant campuses can be brought together to augment learning opportunities. Data centers can be accessed to deepen research capabilities across a broad spectrum of categories. Especially as part of a managed services solution, SD-WAN is a tool for unlocking the broader potential of an academic institution.

Blog Post - Maximizing cloud advantages for K-12 [Published September 2025]

Maximizing cloud advantages for K-12 organizations

A new school year puts a great deal in perspective for educators, like the need to be ready for tomorrow. From the broadening use of tablets and WiFi in the classroom to greater emphasis on performance tracking and parental oversight, the future of education is in cloud technology uptake.

The benefits are clear for K-12 institutions, as are the risks of falling behind. Simply put, cloud technology accelerates student learning at home and in the classroom, with platforms which are both flexible to run and cost-effective.

How can educational IT leaders make the most of cloud opportunities? They can start by asking whether the current operational set-up gets all it can from its connectivity. If the answer is no, maybe it’s time to consider infrastructure enhancements.

Case Study - Culver City Housing Program [Published September 2025]

Culver City provides hope for chronically unhoused

“Having services like the wall of video feeds provided by Managed Network Edge is very helpful to us. The support from Spectrum Business has made a meaningful difference throughout the process.”

-  Christina Stoffers-Himmelman, Management Analyst, City of Culver City

In Culver City, California, people who lived on the streets not long ago now know a degree of stability and normalcy because of a dedicated housing program.

Two shuttered motels were converted into over 70 independent housing units which offer key services like food, nursing care and counseling. Also included are internet connectivity, television, security cameras, WiFi and voice services, acquired by the city in partnership with the non-profit agency Exodus Recovery.

Blog Post - Migrate to Cloud Calling [Published September 2025]

Make a seamless migration to Cloud Calling

Many mid-sized to large businesses are leveraging their existing cloud communications infrastructure to introduce external calling and voice service features. Cloud Calling enables them to extend this capability with external calling and voice service features.

Which provider should they choose to implement this extension into the cloud?

IT leaders should consider several factors when choosing a voice operator for their cloud communications platform. It goes beyond cost, including such things as telecom budgeting, reliability, security, connectivity and a partner ready to help meet your enterprise’s specific needs.

Blog Post - How AI-enabled smart factory achieved success [Published July 2025]

How SmartCap’s AI-enabled smart factory achieved recognition and success [Customer Spotlight]

SmartCap is revolutionizing the use of AI in manufacturing with a new 400,000 square foot self-operating factory in Fort Worth, Texas. By utilizing the Internet of Things, the automotive accessory manufacturer achieved a needed competitive edge for the North American market.

Over 20 robots cut, bend, weld and paint metal sheets into component parts for stainless-steel truck caps. These robots are managed by an array of WiFi, sensors and laser beams controlled over a local area network (LAN) to ensure a safe, streamlined working environment.

Automated process adjustments controlled by an AI algorithm have been doubling factory output every few months.

Blog Post - Lower total cost of ownership with SD-WAN [Published June 2025]

Lower your local government’s total cost of ownership (TCO) with SD-WAN

As government budgets tighten, municipalities and local agencies must meet the demands required to serve connected societies while simultaneously reducing the cost of acquiring, managing and inevitably replacing their IT assets. The latter, a concept broadly known as total cost of ownership or TCO, can weigh heavily on the minds of many public-sector leaders.

Yet this challenge also presents an opportunity creative local government CIOs can seize by utilizing a networking innovation already in widespread use in the private sector.

The implementation of software-defined wide area networks (SD-WAN) is quickly reshaping how enterprises do business, eliminating operational barriers while enhancing overall security. For local governments, SD-WAN can also be a tool for accomplishing needed and cost-effective change.
