This July 2018 article I wrote for Greenwich magazine celebrates Greenwich, CT's place as an epicenter of leading cartoonists in the 1950s and 1960s, when Greenwich was a quasi-art colony for Madison Avenue. It centers on my interview with Cullen Murphy, son of longtime "Prince Valiant" cartoonist John Cullen Murphy, about his 2017 memoir regarding what it was like growing up around a network of creative, offbeat people.
