Greenwich magazine wanted
to write an article showcasing how the town’s YMCA lifted itself up from
bankruptcy and was able to renew its sense of mission in the community. After
conducting interviews and extensive research, I wrote an article showcasing the
Greenwich YMCA’s return to relevancy. After its January 2015 publication in Greenwich, the Greenwich YMCA purchased
an electronic version of my article to send out to its local membership.

Article #3 - Growing Up In Darien
New Canaan/Darien magazine wanted an article about what it was like to have grown up in Darien, Connecticut over the course of four decades. With the help of locally-connected members of the magazine staff, I identified dozens of people who had grown up in the town from the 1950s to the 1980s, developed a set of common questions (fashion, music, dating, places where they hung out), conducted extensive interviews with around 25 of those who were willing to talk, and wrote an article that brought their stories together, which was published in September, 2014.

Work Sample #8 - Whole Foods Employment Trifold Ads
Whole
Foods wanted to produce trifold brochures with text to make available at stores
as a hiring recruitment tool. I developed texts for three different trifolds,
each emphasizing a different aspect of Whole Foods’ overarching recruitment
theme of being “one of us.”

been a proven, trusted leader in unlocking the promise of nuclear energy.
Work Sample #6 - Timeline Script
Citi
wanted to create interactive timelines specific to their relationships with
important clients. One such client was IBM. For this project, I was charged to do original research, select relevant moments in the shared histories of the two companies, and write them up. The capsule pieces included year, headline, subhead, which was how the items were tagged on the timeline.

A long and happy
business partnership began in January 1926
A
long and happy business partnership began in January 1926 when IBM's founder
and president Thomas J. Watson Sr. opened his company's first account with the
National City Bank of New York.
"Thanks
ever so much for doing this," wrote National City Bank's 40-year-old
director Gordon S. Renschler in a warm letter dated January 21, 1926. "It will
be good to think of doing day-in-and-day-out business with you again."
